Our Chicano Link Peer Mentor Program extends a bienvenida into the UCR familia to first-year undergraduate and graduate students. Through the combined efforts of Chicano Student Programs and continuing UCR students the program provides transitional support to incoming undergraduate and graduate students. The program is presented through a diversity framework, focused on the experiences/needs of Chicano/Latinx students. The program consists of one-on-one meetings, supplemental resources and academic workshops, which support a positive transition to UCR and promote new students’ academic, cultural and social success. Note: All mentee applications will be placed on a waitlist due to a large amount of applicants.
